Peace Scarves
noorsaab’s debut collection is an exquisite and skillful visual experimentation with the word “salam” – the Arabic word for peace and greetings – inspired by a politically turbulent region, and a personal journey of intercultural discoveries, struggles and joys. The word salam is abstracted through an unfolding and cyclical repetition of colourful geometric shapes, in an almost infinite quest for itself, reflecting the elusive nature of peace while imposing it powerfully in your eyes.
